Lola, daughter of Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, is under fire for being ungrateful after admitting she would NEVER let her parents move into her home.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are already thinking about their golden years,

and according to them, their daughter Lola has a plan in place—just not quite what they expected.

During Thursday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the couple, who share three children—Michael (27), Lola (23), and Joaquin (21)

discussed a study suggesting that middle children tend to grow up to be “better people.”

This led to a playful exchange about their middle child, Lola, and her long-standing claim that she is the superior sibling.

Middle Children Have the Edge?

While reading from the study, Consuelos pointed out that middle children “beat out their sibling rivals in two crucial categories” and often develop positive traits such as honesty, humility, and agreeableness.

“Nobody takes it on the chin more perhaps than the middle child,” he read, referring to the well-known idea of middle child syndrome.

Ripa couldn’t resist chiming in, joking that Lola has been reminding them of her exceptional qualities for years. However, when Consuelos suggested that the findings of the study might be true, Ripa responded with a skeptical, “Some of it.”

The couple went on to reference the HEXACO Personality Inventory, a psychological framework that measures six key traits: honesty, humility, emotionality, extroversion, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Ripa admitted that Lola does, in fact, exhibit all of these qualities.

Lola Has a Plan—And It Involves a Retirement Home

Beyond being a standout middle child, Lola has also made it clear that she will be the one to care for her parents as they grow older.

“We have a fantastic middle child. She will be taking care of us,” Consuelos declared confidently.

Ripa quickly agreed, saying, “She is going to definitely take care of us. She’s our hope for—” before her husband cut in with, “Yeah, not putting us in a home.”

But Ripa was quick to clarify that while Lola does have a plan for their future care, it may not be exactly what they were hoping for.

“She wants to put us in a home,” Ripa admitted, before adding with a laugh, “but a really nice one.”

Consuelos then elaborated on their daughter’s vision, revealing that she has her sights set on a specific retirement home in London—one conveniently located next door to her own residence.

“The one in London next door to her,” he said, implying that Lola wants to keep them close while still maintaining her independence.

A ‘Swanky’ Future for Kelly and Mark?

Though the idea of being placed in a retirement home may not sound appealing to everyone, Ripa explained that the facility Lola has in mind is far from ordinary.

“She lives next to a retirement home for the elderly,” Ripa said, describing it as “very swanky” and “very gorgeous.”

While it remains to be seen if Ripa and Consuelos will ultimately take their daughter up on her offer, it’s clear that Lola has given the matter some serious thought.

The Family’s Tight-Knit Bond

Kelly and Mark have always been open about their close relationship with their three children, often sharing humorous and heartfelt stories about their family life on Live. Lola, their only daughter, has made frequent appearances on the show, and her fun-loving yet fiercely independent personality continues to be a source of entertainment for fans.

Despite her lighthearted teasing about sending her parents to a retirement home, it’s evident that Lola has a deep love and appreciation for them. And if her vision of their future involves a luxurious residence in London, it’s safe to say that Kelly and Mark could be in for a rather stylish retirement.
