Boxing champion Amir Khan has disclosed that he rejected two major BBC television opportunities 

after being approached to take part in Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity MasterChef. 

The 38-year-old former world champion, who previously appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2017, 

admitted that while he was interested in both shows, he ultimately had to decline due to time constraints.

Amir Khan’s Decision to Turn Down Reality TV Offers

Speaking to Betway, Amir revealed that he had been invited to join the lineup for Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity MasterChef last year. 

While he expressed interest in both, scheduling conflicts prevented him from committing.

“I have been asked to do Strictly Come Dancing, so maybe I would do that,” he stated.

He continued: “I have been asked to do Celebrity MasterChef recently, but I couldn’t do the filming this year.”

Despite turning down the offers, Amir did not rule out future participation. He emphasized that he enjoys being part of television programs, as they allow audiences to see a different side of him beyond his boxing career.

“There are a lot of shows, but it’s hard to get the time,” he explained, acknowledging the difficulty of balancing television commitments with his other professional and personal responsibilities.
