Jenna Bush Hager has been a staple on *Today with Jenna & Friends* alongside her co-host Hoda Kotb, but with Kotb’s recent departure from the show,
Hager may be getting a little extra help from a very special family member.
While Hager, 43, has yet to involve her family in co-hosting duties, she has hinted that one of her children would be thrilled to step into the spotlight.
In an interview with *E! News*, Hager joked that her 11-year-old daughter, Mila Hager,
would be the one most eager to take over her role, though she hasn’t yet made any official requests.
“They’re not jumping, but I may push them like I’ve done my whole life,” Hager shared. “You know who really wants to do it? Mila Hager.”
This playful comment gives fans a glimpse into the dynamic between Hager and her children. Mila, who has previously appeared on the *Today* show with her mom, is no stranger to the public eye. However, her past on-air antics have caused some family tension. Hager recalled a particularly memorable moment when Mila got into trouble for sharing some rather controversial stories.
During a previous appearance on *Today with Hoda & Jenna* in January 2022, Mila revealed some unexpected details about her mom’s personal life. When asked about what Kotb loved most about Hager, Mila candidly responded, “You know when I love her the most, Mila? When she’s laughing so hard she can’t catch her breath.” Mila then took the conversation to a new level of honesty, adding, “Yeah, one time she was laughing in our living room and she peed her pants!” This comment, much to Hager’s embarrassment, prompted Mila to tell her mom, “You changed your pajamas!”

While Hager has yet to ask her children to take a more active role in the show, the idea of Mila making a return to *Today* is still very much in the cards—though there’s a possibility that her “lifetime ban” could be lifted for a special occasion. Hager teased that perhaps Mila could make an appearance on “bring your kids to work day,” but only time will tell if she’ll be given a second chance in front of the cameras.
